Technical Project Manager



Edge hosting is looking for an experience Project Manager to oversee large customer facing projects. We are seeking someone who can organize, schedule, and orchestrate projects with multiple vendors, engineers, and stakeholders. They will be working with all Edge Hosting departments from beginning to end of the project and developing personal relationships with the end client to guarantee proper communication and success. A successful candidate will be a self-starter and excellent communicator with experience quarterbacking multiple projects, resources, timelines, and customers' expectations simultaneously. Forecasting of workload and understanding of engineers and stakeholder's expectations and capabilities is most critical in this role.


Responsibilities and duties

  • Engage early in the sales process to capture requirements, scope, and begin identifying resources and building the project outline.
  • Provide customers with a central point of contact and ongoing working understanding of their project as a whole.
  • Develop and present project plans to both internal Edge resources and external customers with timelines, scope of work, resource allocation, and task oriented workflow.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of existing Edge product offerings to more accurately prepare project plans with proper time estimates and resource allocations based on previous project work.
  • Identify and help manage relationships with an external rolodex of outside resources for use as needed..
  • Delegate and manage both third party contractors and internal edge employees' time and costs to meet client timelines and avoid cost overrun.
  • Ability to work with unique personalities in fast paced mission critical company environment.
  • Anticipate clients' needs and proactively update project status, manage scope creep, and minimize missed deadlines, or unintended consequences.
  • Perform on boarding project related tasks such as: user account creation, internal documentation, customer portal walk through, and submission of tickets on client’s request.




  • 5+ years experience in Project Manage Role
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office, Excel, Project, and Visio
  • PMP / PRINCE II certification 
  • Technical background in system administration, implementations, and working understanding of hosting services a plus
  • Federal experience a plus
  • Tier 1 Technical Skills including basic knowledge of web/database servers, Active Directory, HTML, VPN/firewalls, DNS, and experience in Technical Support Role
